Guidelines for Midterm Presentations on March 7 & 14

Each group (no more than 3 people per) will pick a topic related to the subject matter of the class to explore in more depth and present a 15 minute presentation on it. Subjects should be limited to material covered by the date of the presentations. These include:

The presentation should draw on the research work the group has done in their respective game(s) and reflect critical engagement/analysis with the topic. It is important that the presentation not simply be a recitation of findings ("here is what we saw") but show some analysis. Think about what is at stake in what you have observed. What is interesting about it? Why does knowing "x" matter? How has what your group found connect to previous research on the subject, including things we have read?

Ultimately the goal of this assignment is for groups to both share interesting things they have been noting during their own research/play time and demonstrate a critical engagement with the issues of the course.

Groups will have access to the computer (PowerPoint & net) and LCD projector. A short Q&A period will follow each presentation.
