Ebbe will briefly talk about projects in Lecture 2.
There are two ways in which students can write projects related to
this course (apart from Master's Theses):
- Write a 7.5 ECTS project in the ordinary project period.
- Write a 15 ECTS project during the whole semester including the
ordinary project period.
Both M.Sc. students and Open University (OU) students can write
projects in the ordinary project period. OU students will be billed
like for semester courses, and they must notify the Study
Administration of this by e-mail (studadm@itu.dk). Projects must be
created through the project base at mit.ITU.
The idea behind the 16-week-project is to give you the
opportunity to begin working on a project during the semester instead
of solely in the ordinary project period. This has the advantages that
you will cover more project credit and also have more time to work
with the project. During the semester you will follow JMA as all the
other students, and will receive a little project supervision on the
side. In the project period, you will receive full project
supervision. If you would like to write a 16-week project, then follow
this procedure:
- Find a group (group sizes of 3 people, please).
- Talk to Ebbe Elsborg and Rasmus Lerchedahl Petersen about
project ideas, e.g., in the break of Lecture 2.
- Write up a project description.
- Go into mit.ITU (My ITU) and cancel your JMA course
participation.
- In the mit.ITU project base: Create a 15 ECTS project and invite
supervisors - Ebbe Elsborg and Rasmus Lerchedahl Petersen will be
happy to supervise projects; we suggest to share supervision of each
project 50-50.
- Send an e-mail to the Study Administration (studadm@itu.dk) saying that you
have officially jumped off JMA and have created a 15 ECTS/16 week
project in the project base.
- Ebbe and Rasmus will approve the project in the project base.
- Attend the JMA course and begin working on the project.
Notice: If you wish to write a 16-week project you have to cancel
your participation in JMA in mit.ITU, create a project in the project
base and notify the Study Administration of this no later than Friday,
February 11!
