Learn Danish
The IT University of Copenhagen offers free Danish Language Courses in collaboration with the language school IA Sprog.
As an international student enrolled in one of the IT University's English Bachelor of Science, Master of Science programmes or as an exchange student, you do not need to know Danish to complete your studies.
However, we recommend you to take this course in order for you to, at least, learn the basics of this language to ease your daily life and increase your cultural experience.
Content of the course:
A set curriculum covering all the primary Danish linguistic competences combined with an organizational form that focuses on your needs makes it exciting, challenging and effective to learn Danish. There is a focus on communication and pronunciation and we use specialized pronunciation material and communicative approaches to language assure a fast progression.
Learning by using specialized multi-media material which is available for the students through a password-protected online access, consisting of films, listening and pronunciation exercises and test-prepraring devices, will give you communication-orientated language competences including pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, writing, and grammar skills. The vast array of electronic materials makes it possible for you to do focused work on your own.
The course is free for international students at the IT university of Copenhagen, but it is a requirement that you have applied for your cpr number before you begin your classes. The classes will be held at the IT University once a week.

The course is only open for students at the IT University of Copenhagen.
