| Louise Barkhuus --- Berkeley Spring 2003 |
| Since January 2003 I have been a visiting research student at UC Berkeley. I am staying here until the end of August and try to make the best out of the short time I have here. This pages includes pictures and personal notes so all the people in Denmark that I miss can keep up with what I am doing. See also San Francisco thoughts. |

![]() Here is a fairly good map of the bay area. I now live right in the middle of the F in San Francisco. |
WorkI am fortunate enough to have two different office spaces, one at Intel Research Lab and a desk in the 420 lab at Soda Hall, which is the computer science building at UC Berkeley. The Intel desk has the most awesome view over the San Francisco skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge and the location at down town Berkeley is convenient. ![]() This is the view from Intel, I have added a few landmarks. |
Non-WorkI now share a Nob Hill apartment with three other girls. They all work here in the city and they are good in introducing me to the city life.

![]() This is the PowerBar Building in Berkeley where Intel Research Lab is located at the penthouse level. | ![]() I sold my car! | |
![]() Soda Hall, the computer science building where I sometimes work. Although it looks like a giant bathroom it is actually quite nice and dry inside. I have three office mates all named Scott. Their websites are way cooler than mine, take a look: |
Now I take Bart to work... ![]() And a cable car from the bart station, uphill, to my apartment. |
