Personal

I recently moved to San Diego after 3 years in Glasgow. This is my sunny livingroom.

I have moved around quite a lot since my teenage years and lived in four countries since I was eighteen. I sometimes struggle to find our where home is and have occasional odd experiences and problems in relation to being a foreigner everywhere (even in Denmark it feels like now) and I have dedicated my blog to this. It is called Amazed and Confused, because that is what I am, when dealing with practicalities and sociabilities of my life in different countries. Note that it is personal and has little to do with my professional life.

In Spring 2005 I went with Barry to Isle of Skye, one of the most beautiful places in Scotland, my new adopted country.

I defended my dissertation on December 1st. 2004. Here is a page with pictures from the event and the following days.

A page of Christmas 2004 in Copenhagen. The old Christmas 2003 pages is still here.

I have a rather old page devoted to pictures etc from my stay at UC Berkeley in the spring and summer 2003.

Together with Rikke (right) and several other people I founded the ITU Party Committee some years ago. I always liked volunteering in clubs and arrange social activities. But when I became a PhD student I did not have as much time to things like this as I used to. I still attend the social activities though whenever I can and whenever I am in Copenhagen.

One of my proudest moments in my life was when I received the award "Student of the year" in April 2001.
