MAPTA 2018

The special session Multimedia Analytics: Perspectives, Techniques and Applications (MAPTA) was held during the 24th MultiMedia Modeling conference (MMM 2018) in Bangkok, Thailand, in February 2018.

Five high-quality submissions were accepted to the special session from 12 submissions targeting the special session. In the first half of the session, each presenter was given 8 minutes to present the main ideas of the paper. In the remainder of the session, we hosted a panel with questions from the audience and the session organizers. In this manner, we invited discussions and debates that can potentially increase the understanding of the participants (speakers, organizers and audience) of this new and exciting field.
