MAPTA 2020
The special session Multimedia Analytics: Perspectives, Techniques and Applications (MAPTA) was held during the 26th MultiMedia Modeling conference (MMM 2020) in Daejeon, South Korea, on January 6, 2020. The session was chaired by Björn Þór Jónsson.
Five high-quality submissions were accepted to the special session.
In the first half of the session, each presenter was given 8 minutes to present the main ideas of the paper. In the remainder of the session, we hosted a panel with questions from the audience and the session chair. In this manner, we invited discussions and debates that can potentially increase the understanding of the participants (speakers, organizers and audience) of this new and exciting field.
The papers presented in the special session were:
-
Werner Bailer, Maarten Wijnants, Hendrik Lievens and Sandy Claes:
Multimedia Analytics Challenges and Opportunities for Creating Interactive Radio Content.
-
Iva Gornishka, Stevan Rudinac and Marcel Worring:
Interactive Search and Exploration in Online Discussion Forums Using Multimodal Embeddings.
-
