PMA 2016

The special session Perspectives on Multimedia Analytics (PMA) was held at the 22nd MultiMedia Modeling conference (MMM 2018) in Miami, Florida, in January 2016.

Four high-quality submissions were accepted to the special session out of 9 total submissions to the special session. In the first half of the session, each presenter was given 10 minutes to present the main ideas of the paper. In the remainder of the session, we hosted a panel with questions from the audience and the session organizers. In this manner, we invited discussions and debates that can potentially increase the understanding of the participants (speakers, organizers and audience) of this new and exciting field.
