From time to time people ask for my old Ph.D. dissertation on the
minimal resolution of ideals of points in projective spaces. It can now be
downloaded here. This thesis deals with a special case of generic
subspace arrangements (vector lines in vector spaces in that particular case),
a subject that have recently attracted computer vision scientists, see for
instance the ICCV 2005 paper “Hilbert Functions and
Applications to the Estimation of Subspace Arrangements” of Allen Y. Yang and
Robert M. Fossum.
