PhD thesis

I defended my PhD thesis (2/6-2009), “Reconfiguring Maternity Care? – Reflections on two Change Initiatives”, which is available here: thesis, abstract.

Post doc. project

As post doc. I studied the organisation of science in relation to the mapping of the porcine genome and translational medicine. More specifically, I looked at how the road towards mapping the genome is being constructed through the emergence of particular interests in e.g. human pathological conditions such as emphysema.

In particular, I studied the interplay and exchanges between digitalised representations of DNA and material DNA strings as well as the globalisation practices that connect scientists across the world through interests and IT such as genome browsers.

The project lasted for approximately 1,5 year.

Teaching

I have taught the course Interaction design six semesters and served as course manager on two occasions (Spring and Autumn 2009)
