In the context of the new strategic research area, Energy Futures, which primarily will look at software and systems, social aspetcs and cooperation, education and integration with sensor networks, etc

we will also create some experimental/demonstration solar installations around our building.

If successful, these might be followed by larger scale deployments.

The suggested immediate plans are for

1) a roof/outdoor installation of approx 0.5 - 1 kWp of pv panels, standalone system (pv panel, batteries, inverter)

2) an indoor, embedded pv element in our light flooded atrium, < 500 Wp

3) a semi-transparent pv window element, 1-2 sqm
