Demtech-2010-06-03
From PLSwiki
The Demtech Workshop is a forum for researchers, industry, and decision makers to discuss all questions related to the proposed research program: “Trust by Design: Electronic Elections”.
We are impressed by the great interest in the project, and the acknowledgements of its potential significance to future democracy in Denmark and abroad. Hence, we see this first workshop as an opportunity to further engagement, elaboration and affiliation to the research project for the partners involved.
The workshop goals are as follows:
- An introduction to the proposed research program; research questions, aims and perspectives
- A discussion among partners on motivation, contributions and roles in the research program
- Networking among potential partners in the research program
The workshop should be seen as the first joined step in the pursue of “.. modernize the electoral process, while balancing the trust of the people on the trustworthiness of the deployed technology”.
The workshop takes place on June 8, from 10:30 - 16:00 at the IT University of Copenhagen. Seminar room TBA.
