ACCOMODATION OPTIONS Here you find a list of hotels, conveniently situated in the center of Copenhagen, but close to the metro that takes you to the ITU in a few minutes. We have pre-booked a number of rooms for the conference and negotiated a special rate for CTCS'04 participants. Please note that you must make a final reservation for one of these rooms prior to July 1st in order to benefit from the pre-booking and the special rates. There is also a youth hostel option less than 15 minutes away from the ITU by bus/metro. This is much cheaper than the hotel options, but we have not been able to pre-book rooms. If you want to be sure to get a bed in the youth hostel (2 and 5 bed rooms divided between men and women), you should book as soon as possible (before May 15th) as it fills up fast in the summertime. Breakfast: DKK 45. TRAVEL INFORMATION The summer school and the conference take place in the new ITU building at "Rued Langgaards Vej 7, 2300 Kbh. S". As the street is new, it may be difficult to find at maps that have not been recently updated. See the location of the IT University here (The IT University is presented by the digit 6). The building is located between the two Metro stations "Universitetet st (metro)" and "Islands Brygge st (metro)" (in walking distance). If you come form the centre of Copenhagen, "Islands Brygge" is the nearest Metro station. Take the Metro heading for "Vestamager". Please see a map of the area that the Metro covers here or consult the Metro home page. How to find the way to the IT-University: You may enter your destination (for instance, one of the two Metro stations) in the "To:" field of the travelplanner at: http://www.rejseplanen.dk/ (select English in the upper right corner). You may e.g. enter "København H (S-tog)" (the central station) or "Københavns Lufth. Kastrup (st)" (the train station at Copenhagen Airport) in the "From" field. We have received a limited number of funds from FIRST Graduate School. The funds are available for international students to have their stay during the summer school and/or conference funded at a nearby youth hostel (see information about the youth hostel above). To apply for this money, you have to contact us and include the following information: 1) A one-page email letter stating your background as well as why you are interested in attending. 2) The letter should also state whether you have access to any other funding to attend. 3) An email letter of reference from your supervisor or an appropriate other person. Preference will be given to students working in the areas covered by CTCS. All applications must be received by April 1st. We will contact people shortly thereafter.
