Having live tweeted and storified the ESRC #EGN13 event in London last year for the Postgrad Forum on Genetics and Society, I have some idea what kind of paraphrasing paralysis Allegra tweeters were facing. Nonetheless, I think the bones they built give a fantastic skeleton on which to hang some more detailed thoughts and impressions of the day. Live tweeting satisfies most when one manages to deliver a sense of the insights and excitement of the day for those who could not travel to be there, exploiting a mysterious power of the internet for a semblance of co-presence. Or just knotting together two distant attention spans for a while.
