Schedule for Advanced Mobile and Distributed Systems

Below you'll find the (yet incomplete) schedule for the course. Note that it may be subjet for change!

The lectures takes place in roome 3A18 typically from 10-12. In the afternoon (from week 2 and onwards) we may proceed in room 3A18 and from 13-15 the pc-room 3A54 is reserved.

In the schedule below the weeks marked with "project" as the topic (week 9 and onwards) are devoted to the project work of the course. One day in week 7 is for presenting project ideas (and consolidate groups) and one day in week 8 is for each project group to defend and get feedback on its project ideas.

Two out of three topics of the course have been preselected, they are Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) systems. A third topic should be decided upon by You in week 3. The candidates for the elective topic are:

  • Bluetooth Scatternets
  • Test of mobile and distributed software
  • P2P MMOG middleware
20.09.2007: Bluetooth Scatternets has been chosen as the elective topic.
