The IT University believes that usefulness and fundamental insight can be combined. Our research must both supply new fundamental insight and be useful. Therefore, our research is done in a dynamic collaboration with businesses, organizations and public institutions.

Applied research can take many forms. Sometimes researchers help solving specific problems and challenges in enterprises or institutions. Other times the research leads to the creation of entirely new business areas within the world of it.
