The Handbook of the Anthropology of Technology

plakat-07-04-22Published at the end of March 2022, this new handbook which I edited with colleagues here in Denmark has 39 chapters, each reviewing their respective field of literature and presenting an ethnographic case.

I co-edited the section on ethics, morality and values with Maja Højer Bruun and Dorthe Brogaard Kristense, with the section introduction summarising key dimensions of the work that has gone on across these three ethnograhpic fields. The chapters in our section are super contemporary ethnographies of how questions of ethics emerge in and are prompted by technological change. My own chapter details the work of stem cell committees in the United States, from my work on the Biology and the Law project.

There will be a book launch in Copenhagen in April (in Danish) and events at conferences over the coming year.
